Construction is progressing well on the Williamson County Schools Innovation Hub, anticipated to open next summer in Franklin, TN. Located at 104 Claude Yates Drive—just behind the existing Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (EIC)—this future-focused facility will offer high school students hands-on learning experiences in some of the most in-demand industries of today and tomorrow.
Designed to bridge the gap between traditional education and the modern workforce, the Innovation Hub will feature a wide range of advanced programs, including:
• Aviation Flight
• Heavy Machine Technology
• Electrical Power Generation
• Hospitality and Tourism Management
• Cybersecurity
• Artificial Intelligence
• Fire Management
Each of these courses will offer opportunities for students to gain industry-recognized certifications, college credit, and real-world technical skills that will serve them well whether they choose to enter the workforce immediately after graduation or pursue further education.
What sets the Innovation Hub apart is its layout and design. The building will be outfitted with open-concept, flexible learning spaces that mimic modern work environments. With advanced technology built into every corner, students will benefit from an environment designed to promote collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving—skills essential for thriving in today’s rapidly evolving job market.
The Innovation Hub is funded in part by a $15.5 million Innovative Schools grant awarded to Williamson County Schools in 2024. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in December, and the facility is on track to be ready for students by the start of the 2026–27 academic year.
The Hub will complement the district’s current Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center by expanding into additional technical and career-based learning pathways. This expansion will allow more students to explore specialized fields not typically available in traditional high school settings.
With its emphasis on forward-thinking education, real-world experience, and workforce readiness, the Innovation Hub represents a bold investment in the future of Williamson County. It’s an exciting development not just for students and families, but for the entire community.
